One of the oldest graphic design styles in the book, this used to be my favourite while growing up. Collages as birthday cards, collages to remember a day, a year or a period in life. The beauty is in its simplicity and an almost child-like quality.
Today i have found an absolute gem of a collection of collages by a french artist/designer/illustrator, Mathilde Aubier. She is also a part of a design studio Ma+Chr
You can find her work here.
Ma+Chr studio here.
This tuesday i need a little TLC. Nothing serious. Good looking people, fun design, lovely ideas-just things that make me feel better today.
First up one of my favourite textile artists/knitters/designers
all her lovely stuff here.
Next up, a website which combines my love for photography, my passion for looking inside people’s houses with my happiness at being a mommy.
In their own words, “The Glow is a glimpse into the world of inspiring and fashionable moms. Here you’ll find their styling ideas, go-to gear, multitasking secrets, and enviable decor.”
The glow – truly shiny happy people.
One of my favourite in your face photographers. Mario testino

Something about this song and scene just makes me happy.
This song had to make it here.
Original images from Harper’s Bazaar. Manipulated by me.
17-year-old Ingvar Kamprad must have been quite brilliant to be the man behind IKEA, one of the most inspirational design stores in the world today. Inspirational more so because they manage to create great design at very regular prices-Design that is functional, affordable and yet so so good. Ikea may not be everyone’s cup of tea but i doubt anyone can deny being impressed by it.
Ikea Catalogues are legendary of course, but imagine my surprise when i found these beautifully styled images from their blog which werent their usual catalogue style but super stunning and very trendy. I also didnt know that they have used very big scandinavian names to style their shoots.
